Improved Data Exchange in Precision Ag

The year also saw double-digit increases in prices for dairy products, cotton, livestock and grains and oilseeds. Farm production expenses also increased by double-digits in 2011, with feed, fertilizer and fuel prices leading the upward trend. The Agriculture industry launched a new show this week in Aloona IA.  Altoona is just east of Des Moines.  Though June is a very busy time for the growers attendance seemed great.  Connectivity is a big issue in the growing Ag world.  More and more great systems that do not connect with the other systems.  I must admit that being with DN2K at an event where connectivity is the focus.  Our DWorks platform is built specifically for anywhere, anytime, any device connectivity!

Spent several days last week at Cubbage Farms in MO.  The applications for M2M in Ag include precision ag, irrigation, prescription monitoring, grain storage, fuel storage, and many more.  Exciting to learn of the potential on the modern farm!
